Farrier website ???

Farrier website ???

It doesn’t take much to put a site together, or
it doesn’t cost much to hire someone to build you a site.

What can a website do for you ???
Well, when advertising you can simply put your website address in the ad,
and fill in all of the info at the site. This way the ads don't cost a lot.

Websites are how you are found.
With correct meta-tags, someone in your area will do a Google search and find you.

Yes word of mouth is best, but folks moving into your area from the big city,
will use the internet to find a Farrier.

Maybe someone from another country could find you and call you up.

Fill your site with articles that educate horse owners, and you will get lots of hits.

If you would like to know more, I would be glad to answer any question you may have.

PM me for more information . . .
. . . I can build websites and host them cheaper than most.

Bradley,
I'm just starting out in the Dallas, TX area. I want to have a website but really need some help getting it going. I have a friend that can build it but he is not a farrier so I need to provide all the content of course. The easy stuff is pricing and area of travel and such but I don't really know what to put in there for grabbers, the stuff that brings them in, like you say, things that bring hits. I'm starting out with basic shoeing until I get the proper training and experience.
My plan is to attend Fivestar Horseshoeing School (Dusty Franklin) this July for 12 weeks and I have been apprenticing for awhile with a local farrier who has been a great teacher. He says I'm ready to get a small book of horses going until I get out of school. I would like to get somewhere between 20 to 40 horses right now and feel a website can help. Is there anything you could tell me to make it easier.

Hello J-A
I guess you need to be found by Google, because most Search engines use the google results, and Google is used by most people. You need a heading and a footing on each page that sums up the middle content. Inside the html code of the page, you need meta tags and one meta tag will be called <Discription> in which you put a sentence describing your business next is <Key words> these would include Farrier terms and location words, such as -City,County,State,. between all words put a comma and no spaces.

Next write articles about Farriery and have them on different pages, a site map on one page is good.

Google rates web pages according to relevance, and is also checked sometimes by a person. If you are relevant to a search that a horse owner is doing such as looking for a new Farrier, you will end up top on the first page.

Do a search for <Farrier> and click on the sites of farriers. When they load, look up to the tool bar on your browser You know _ File Edit View Favorites Tools Help _
Click on View, then slide down and click on source. A text doc will come up and you can see the html code.
look for the meta tags between the <head> </head>
This forum soft ware does not allow me to (as far as I know) insert meta so it is a not a good example.

Then plaster you web address on feed store, corner store Bulletin boards, and insert you website online BBoards.

People will find you.

I hope that helps, Bless your Heart and Bless Your Soul.
